Officer Training

The Officer Training program is a leadership course where boys, ages 13-17 years old, compete for the various positions of responsibility at Camp Rivendell. It is intended for those with a strong resolve, a good heart, and a desire to overcome their own shortcomings.  Although we consider it a great privilege to help form the leaders of tomorrow, we are also committed to providing the younger boys with the best leadership possible. In this respect, it is advised that only those who are genuinely serious about being a strong example of Catholic leadership should consider making an application.

Once a candidate has made a preliminary registration, they will need to submit their waiver, check and a one page essay on why they would be a strong candidate for camp within 2 weeks. The decisions for acceptance will be made known through personal correspondence by a deadline of July 1st each year. Those who are accepted will be given a password to access the “Officer’s Only” page below. Once there, they can download their pre-camp preparation packages.  These will include a small research assignment, as well as some reading material to help them prepare for their entrance examination on day one of training.
